This is the last copy I did at the National Gallery of Art in DC. It is a painting by Willem Claezs Heda, titled Still Life with Mince Pie. Now that I live three hours drive from DC, it will be a long time before I get back down there to copy from the originals. This is one of the best ways I have found to educate myself and improve my skills. In the coming week, I will take a different part of the painting and give you some insights into what I learned during this process.
