Salem 1994 - 2013

After being a part of my family for a very very long time, our kitty Salem had to be put down yesterday.  I had her assessed by my vet a few weeks before our move and at that time, although she looked like crap and had numerous health issues, the vet assured me that she was in no pain and still very strong.  But, yesteday morning, I  noticed she was turning in circles instead of walking straight to the food dish....a very good indication that a pet is or has gone blind.  Sure enough, the new vet I have found in Winchester suggested that her quality of life was such that it was time to let her go.   This photo is on one of her good days two years ago.
